Accessibility Statement
Our commitment to making eGovern platforms usable by everyone.
Last updated: 1 January 2026
Our Commitment
eGovern is committed to ensuring that our platforms and public-facing websites are accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. We believe that digital infrastructure serving governments and public institutions must be usable by everyone. We work continuously to improve the accessibility of our products in line with recognised international standards.
Standards We Target
Our platforms are designed and developed with reference to the following standards:
- Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA
- Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act (US federal requirements)
- EN 301 549 (European accessibility standard for ICT products)
- WAI-ARIA 1.2 for dynamic and interactive content
We note that full WCAG compliance requires ongoing manual testing with assistive technologies and expert review. We are committed to this process and conduct regular audits.
What We've Implemented
Across our platforms and website, we have implemented the following accessibility features:
- Semantic HTML structure with appropriate heading hierarchy
- Keyboard navigation support for all interactive elements
- Sufficient colour contrast ratios across light and dark themes
- Alt text for all meaningful images and icons
- ARIA labels and roles for dynamic content and custom components
- Focus indicators visible on all interactive elements
- Responsive design supporting zoom up to 400% without loss of content
- No content that flashes more than three times per second
- Skip navigation links for screen reader users
Known Limitations
We are aware of the following areas where accessibility improvements are in progress:
- Some complex data visualisations do not yet have full text alternatives — we are adding descriptive summaries
- Certain legacy PDF documents may not be fully tagged — we are working through a remediation backlog
- Some third-party embedded components may not meet our accessibility standards — we are evaluating alternatives
Assistive Technology Support
Our platforms are tested with the following assistive technologies:
- NVDA and JAWS screen readers on Windows
- VoiceOver on macOS and iOS
- TalkBack on Android
- Dragon NaturallySpeaking for voice control
- ZoomText and Windows Magnifier for low vision users
Feedback and Reporting Issues
We welcome feedback on the accessibility of our platforms. If you encounter a barrier or have difficulty accessing any content or feature, please contact us:
- Email: accessibility@egovern.com
- Contact form: egovern.com/contact
- Response time: within 5 business days
We take all accessibility reports seriously and will work to address issues promptly. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the relevant national accessibility enforcement body in your jurisdiction.
Ongoing Improvement
Accessibility is an ongoing commitment, not a one-time effort. We conduct formal accessibility audits at least annually, include accessibility requirements in our design and engineering processes, and provide training to our product and engineering teams. This statement is reviewed and updated annually or when significant changes are made to our platforms.
